The invention provides an apparatus for conditioning an organic fluid for subsequent use in a medical procedure, and a container for receiving the conditioned organic fluid (preferably blood) ready for injection into a patient. The container comprises a syringe equipped with means for determining the presence of bubbles in the conditioned fluid, and with a knocker for accelerating the de-bubbling of the charge of liquid therein.
