PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a system and a method for closing a left atrial appendage.SOLUTION: A system for closing a left atrial appendage comprises one or more guide members that include alignment members for assisting positioning of a closing device, and uses the closing device to close the left atrial appendage by: advancing a first guide having a first alignment member into the left atrial appendage; advancing a second guide having a second alignment member into a space located in the vicinity of the heart; aligning the first and second alignment members; and advancing a left atrial appendage closing device to a neighborhood of the left atrial appendage that is the space located in the vicinity of the heart. The closing device typically includes; an elongated body having a base end and a terminal; and a closing member that is at least partially stored in the elongated body 202. The closing member has a loop that forms a continuous aperture. |
