PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tomographic apparatus capable of improving imaging throughput by reducing the time for alignment through the automatic alignment. SOLUTION: The X-ray tomographic apparatus includes a scanner 2 for measuring and acquiring data of X rays transmitting teeth and jaw parts by irradiating the teeth and jaw parts of a subject 1 with cone-beam shaped X rays, a chair 3 for the subject for keeping the subject 1 in a seated posture, a scanner rotation drive control device 4 for rotating the scanner 2 around the subject 1, a chair alignment drive control device 5 for automatically aligning the chair 3 for the subject with the teeth and jaw parts, a visible light camera 7 for alignment for imaging the X-ray incident part of a two-dimensional X-ray detector 6 for detecting the subject 1 and the X ray transmitting the teeth and jaw parts, and an alignment moving distance calculating device 8 for calculating an alignment moving distance of the chair 3 for the subject by capturing the image photographed by the visible light camera 7 and performs alignment by moving the chair 3 for the subject for the moving distance by a chair moving XYZ table 3a.
