An apparatus for knowledge representation enrichment comprises: a predicate-argument structure analysis unit to use a meaning representation language to extract a predicate and at least one argument from text; an ontology unit to use a knowledge representation language which is a format structured to be understood by a computer to represent knowledge; and a knowledge representation unit to extract a second predicate corresponding to a first predicate extracted by the predicate-argument structure analysis unit from the ontology unit, and use the first predicate to represent knowledge extracted from the text if a similarity between the first predicate and the second predicate is lower than or equal to a reference value.
