摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for controlling the movement of movable bodies in a machine tool which prevents positional deviation of the machine tool due to inertial forces applied to the machine tool from a plurality of movable bodies.SOLUTION: An apparatus 20 for controlling movement of movable bodies in a machine tool is for controlling the movement of a plurality of movable bodies 10 to 12 provided in the machine tool and includes calculation means 21 of adding up vector products of a mass of each movable body by an acceleration of each movable body to calculate the total amount of inertial forces applied to the machine tool from the movable bodies, storage means 22 of storing threshold inertial forces which act on the movable bodies to cause positional deviation of the machine tool, and adjustment means 24 of adjusting the total amount of inertial forces so as to be below the threshold inertial forces, on the basis of results of comparing the total amount of the inertial forces calculated by the calculation means with stored threshold inertial forces stored in the storage means.
