PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen which is capable of displaying brighter images with enhanced contrast and offers superior visibility of an opposite side from either side thereof.SOLUTION: A screen displays image light projected by a projector in a manner visible to viewers and includes a sheet of light-transmissive base material layer and a light scattering layer for scattering light formed on one surface of the base material layer. The light scattering layer comprises a plurality of light transmitting sections which are juxtaposed to each other along the one surface of the base material layer to transmit light and light scattering sections which are arranged between each pair of the plurality of light transmitting sections to scatter light. An angle of view of the light scattering layer is set such that an angle between the normal line of the screen and a diagonal line pointing upward in a direction toward a viewer side is greater than an angle between the normal line of the screen and a diagonal line pointing downward in the direction toward the viewer side, with the screen being in a vertical posture.
