PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module in which a distance between a transparent resin molded package and an end face of a fiber can be easily adjusted.SOLUTION: An optical module 100A includes: a transparent resin molded package 4 mounted with an optical component; a ferrule holding part for retaining a ferrule 6 which is inserted into the optical module; a receptacle housing 3 that determines a position of the optical component and the ferrule holding part in a plane; and an optical reference position adjusting plate 5A that determines an optical distance between the optical component and the ferrule on an optical axis. The optical reference position adjusting plate has a through hole in an optical axis portion, and is brought into contact with a tip end of the ferrule, so that a plate thickness of the optical reference position adjusting plate serves as the optical distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
