A cutting insert according to the present disclosure comprises a polygonal upper surface, side surfaces adjacent to said upper surface and corners (3a), and is provided with cutting edges (11) located on the ridges where the upper surface and the side surfaces intersect, and protrusions (13) located on the upper surface. In top view, the protrusions (13) have first projections (15) located on the bisectors of the corners (3a), and second projections (17) adjacent to the first projections (15) in a direction that is orthogonal to the bisector. In top view, the second projections (17) are closer to the corners (3a) than the first projections (15). The present invention provides a cutting tool equipped with said cutting insert and a method for manufacturing cut workpieces using said cutting tool. |
