Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a flexible display device. The disclosed method for manufacturing a flexible display device includes the steps of: forming a flexible board on a carrier board; forming a thin film layer including a display unit on the flexible board; removing a thin film layer surplus part formed on the outer side out of the board of the edge of the flexible board among the thin film layer; and separating the flexible board. The manufacturing method is used to cleanly and stably perform separation of the carrier board and the flexible board, to improve productivity according to the same, and to reduce damages on products.
