PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality warning system and an abnormality warning method, capable of achieving rapid and optimum coping with abnormality having occurred in an operation state of a negative pressure therapeutic device.SOLUTION: In a negative pressure therapeutic device 1 discharging a fluid from the inside of a covering sheet S while keeping the inside of the covering sheet S covering a wound part W in a negative pressure state, an abnormality warning system 10 and an abnormality warning method warn abnormality related to an operation state of the negative pressure therapeutic device. The abnormality warning system 10 includes: one or more detection parts 11 detecting the abnormality related to the operation state of the negative pressure therapeutic device 1; a control part 12 specifying abnormality content on the basis of information related to the abnormality detected in the detection part 11; a transmission part 13 transmitting warning information corresponding to the abnormality content specified in the control part 12; and a reception part 14 receiving the warning information transmitted from the transmission part 14.
