An artificial plant island and a construction method thereof are provided to prevent the environment from being polluted and to simplify the structure and construction by fixing a vegetation foundation medium of a mat shape with the bamboo. An artificial plant island using bamboo includes vegetation foundation medium(11), the first and the second horizontal bar(13), vertical rod(17), buoyancy unit and joint rod. The vegetation foundation medium is formed into the mat shape in order to cover the water surface. The first and the second horizontal bars prevent the shape of the vegetation foundation medium from being changed. The vertical rod is perpendicularly connected with the crossing potion of the first and the second horizontal bar so that the top is exposed from the water surface. The buoyancy unit is arranged in the bottom surface of the vegetation foundation medium between the vertical rods. The joint rod is connected to the vertical rod and prevents the buoyancy unit from being separated between the vertical rods. |
