WSN CLUSTERING MEHTOD USING OF CLUSTER TREE STRUCTURE WITH LOW ENERGY LOSS

The present invention relates to a method for clustering in a wireless sensor network by using cluster tree structures having low energy loss. The method for clustering in a wireless sensor network by using cluster tree structures having low energy loss comprises the steps of: (a) calculating the optimum number of clusters of nodes that minimizes energy loss of a base station, and selecting cluster heads by using residual energy of the nodes, a round number, and the numbers of times that the nodes have been selected as cluster heads up to a current round as parameters based on the optimum number of clusters; (b) forming, by the base station, cluster tree structures each having hierarchical levels based on the selected cluster heads; and (c) collecting and combining, by the cluster heads, data from member nodes thereof, and transmitting, by the cluster heads, the collected, combined data to the base station. The method for clustering in a wireless sensor network by using cluster tree structures having low energy loss according to the present invention sets optimum cluster heads, and introduces generation of hierarchical tree structures into respective clusters, thereby improving energy efficiency and maximizing a lifespan of a network.
