PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling water pump mounting structure of an internal combustion engine for suppressing oscillation of a pump shaft and reducing processing time and cost. SOLUTION: In the cooling water pump mounting structure of the internal combustion engine, the cooling water pump is configured so that rotation of a crankshaft 19 is transmitted to the cooling water pump shaft 73 through a transmission mechanism 80 to be driven. The transmission mechanism 80 is composed of a driving member 81 subjected to the rotation of the crankshaft 19 to be driven, and a driven member 82 installed in the pump shaft 72 and subjected to rotation of the driving member 81 to be rotated and driven. Also, the cooling water pump includes an interlocking means composed of a collar-shaped fitting part 72c formed so that one portion of the pump shaft 72 protrudes outward in a radial direction of the pump shaft 72, and a fitted part 82d formed at one side of the driven member 82 so as to be fitted into the fitting part 72c. When the driven member 82 is fitted and inserted into one end of the pump shaft 72 formed in a cylindrical shape, the fitting part 72c and the fitted part 82d are fitted, thereby integrally rotating the pump shaft 72 and the driven member 82.
