The device has two climbing frames (3,4) extending along the long sides of the concrete construction (2) to support the formwork (1), which are anchored in the construction and move with respect to each other. A guide unit (18) guides the climbing frame movement relative to the construction. A drive unit (27) moves the climbing frames and the guide unit. Both climbing frames are coupled together by the guide unit (18), which has two pairs of pivot components (19,20), which are each connected to two climbing frame parts (21,22) to form a four-bar linkage, which is arranged on one of two opposite sides (17) of the construction. One climbing frame part of each linkage forms one part of one climbing frame and the other part of each linkage forms part of the other climbing frame. The drive unit acts between the climbing frame and is controlled so that it moves on climbing frame and generates a reaction force in the other climbing frame, which is anchored in the construction. The pivot components rotate when the drive unit moves the climbing frames.
