<p>An apparatus for locating the central axis through the femoral head and neck junction of a femur, comprising: a first component for at least partially receiving the femoral neck; a second component which cooperates with the first component so that the second component is aligned with the central axis, the second component being moveable between a first position in which it is disengaged from the femoral head, and a second position in which it is engaged with the femoral head; and a joining means for joining the first and second components. A method of using the apparatus to locate the central axis through the femoral head and neck junction of a femur is also provided.</p> |
