PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fiber material for energy conversion which is suitable for miniaturization, and an actuator using the fiber material.SOLUTION: A polymer solution is prepared by dissolving a polymeric material having a thermal expansion coefficient of 100×10or more and a conductive material in a solvent, and the polymer solution is filled into a syringe 1 and then continuously injected from a nozzle 3. The injected polymer solution is electrostatically charged by a voltage application device 5 and sucked into a collector 4 by electrostatic attraction to obtain a fiber material for energy conversion which has a fiber diameter of 10 nm to 10 μm and a fiber length ten times or more the fiber diameter, and has a degree of shrinkage in a fiber length direction by thermal expansion of 0.05-1.5%. |
