An information processor comprises ROM for storing a program, RAM for temporarily storing the program read out from the ROM, a program execution part which reads the program from the ROM or RAM and executes it, a memory management part whereby a virtual address outputted from the program execution part is converted to a physical address of the ROM or RAM, a page table storage section for storing a page table, which is referred by the memory management part and stores mapping data for the virtual address and the physical address of the ROM or RAM corresponding to the virtual address, a detection part for detecting the change of the event of the information processor, an operation switching part for issuing an instruction to switch from a ROM operation, wherein the program is read from the ROM by the program execution part, to RAM operation, wherein the program is read from the RAM, when the detection part detects the change of the event during the ROM operation, and a page table update section for updating the page table referred by the memory management part in response to the order given from the operation switching part.
