PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body supporting utensil for a bed wherein the operation is made simpler, the attaching/detaching to/from the bed is facilitated, and a positional adjustment after being fitted on the bed can be easily, quickly and surely performed. SOLUTION: This body supporting utensil for a bed is equipped with a guide rail 3, a slide housing 6, a rotary strut 11, and a contact plate 19. In this case, the guide rail 3 is detachably fixed to the frame body 1 of the bed. The slide housing 6 is guided by the guide rail 3. The contact plate 19 advances/retracts along the guide rail 3 together with the slide housing 6, and supports the body of a person who is lying on the bed by coming into contact with the body. When an operation handle 14 is turned to a set direction at a set angle, the slide housing 6 is switched from a state wherein the movement is allowed to a state wherein the movement is stopped. When the operation handle 14 is turned to the opposite direction from the set direction at the set angle, the slide housing 6 is switched from the state wherein the movement is stopped to the state wherein the movement is allowed. |
