PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vinyl aromatic thermoplastic elastomer composition having good flexibility, extrusion moldability, surface gloss, and mar resistance. SOLUTION: This vinyl aromatic thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises, as raw materials, (a) a hydrogenated vinyl aromatic block copolymer obtained by hydrogenating a vinyl aromatic block copolymer which is represented by the formula (1): A(B-A)m and/or (A-B)n (wherein A is a polymer block of a vinyl aromatic compound; B is a copolymer block of the vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene; (m) is an integer of 1-5; and (n) is an integer of 2-5) and has a content of a wholly vinyl aromatic compound unit of 50-80 wt.%, a content of the vinyl aromatic compound present in the block B of 20-60 wt.%, and a content of a vinyl bond derived from the conjugated diene compound of 30-75%, (b) an olefin resin, and (c) a hydrocarbon rubber softener at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of 50/50 to 95/5 in an amount of 3 pts. wt. to 250 pts. wt.
