A tilt restrictor arm assembly (16) for restraining tilting of a tilting slidable sash (2,4) of a sash window (10). The tilt restrictor arm assembly (16) comprises an elongate arm (22), a frame mounting arrangement (20) to pivotally attach a first end of the arm (22) to a window frame (1,6,8) of the sash window, and a sash mounting arrangement (20) adapted to pivotally attach a second end of the arm (22) to the sash (2,4). The sash mounting arrangement (21) comprises a pin (30) projecting from the second end of the arm (22) and having a distal end comprising an enlarged head (33). The pin (30) and enlarged head (33) are in use locatable and retained in an elongate slot (32) having an enlarged access entry portion (38) dimensioned to allow for insertion and removal of the enlarged head (33) from the engagement within the slot (32). This provides a sash mounting arrangement (21) is simply and easily detachably engaged and attached to the sash (2,4) without requiring screws or other fixings. |
