A rescue device is provided with a hybrid foldable avalanche airbag (1), said airbag containing at least one outer gas compartment (8, 8", 8") that surrounds at least one inner air compartment (9, 9", 9"). The outer compartment (8, 8", 8") constitutes a pneumatic support frame for the airbag (1) connected via a dis¬ charge valve (5) with at least one pressurized gas cartridge (6). The inner air compartment (9, 9', 9") is provided with at least one check valve (7) through which ambient air is drawn in. The folded airbag (1 ) is placed in a pocket (21) of a backpack (22) or in a pouch (2) provided with shoulder straps (3) connected to a buckled belt (4) forming thereby a vest. |
