A foot-powered scooter has a frame with front and rear wheels, a platform, handlebars and steering shaft. The platform incorporates a foot-operated lever panel which is linked via a free-wheel gear drive mechanism to the rear wheel. The drive mechanism is e.g. a chain or shaft. Power is generated by down-thrust and the foot-lever panel returns to the upper position by e.g. spring operation.
