PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intranasal pharmaceutical dosage form with a fast onset of action and a relatively long period of action in the treatment of opioid overdosing and/or symptoms thereof.SOLUTION: An intranasal pharmaceutical dosage form comprises naloxone, which counteracts action of opioids, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in an amount equivalent to 0.65 to 0.8 mg naloxone HCl or 1.3 to 1.6 mg naloxone HCl dissolved in an aqueous 0.9% (weight/volume) NaCl solution. of a solution volume of 250 μl or less, preferably 200 μl or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
