PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing excellent in a sharpening effect while reducing a record amount of data to be required to generate a correction signal.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes an acquisition step for acquiring an input image generated by imaging through an optical system, a reconfiguration step for reconfiguring a point image intensity distribution function by using coefficient data to be used to approximate the point image intensity distribution function corresponding to a photographing condition of the optical system, and a processing step for using a filter generated on the basis of information of the point image intensity distribution function reconfigured in the reconfiguration step to perform unsharp mask processing to the input image.
