PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine with novel amusement utilizing multiple starting ports and special patterns. SOLUTION: Win/lose determination is made by using the first special pattern for the first starting port or the second special pattern for the second starting port. In the case of a win, an auxiliary game is started after the machine performs the big win game. The auxiliary game is continued until the number of win/lose determinations for the first special pattern reaches a specified number. During the performance of the auxiliary game, the variable time for the second special pattern is reduced, but the variable time for the first special pattern is maintained or extended. Thus, the win/lose determination is repeated as many as required during the performance of the auxiliary game, while fully ensuring the continuation of the auxiliary game. As a result, the amusement of the player of the game is significantly increased by fully utilizing a plurality of starting ports comprised of the first and second starting ports and the provision of a plurality of special patterns for each starting port.
