PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning body which is easily incorporated in a rotor and is excellent in a dust removal performance. SOLUTION: The cleaning body includes a base part 2 formed in a roughly cylindrical shape and a brush-like cleaning member 3 formed so as to project to the outer part of the base part 2 for removing dust on a surface to be cleaned, and has a space part 4 formed at the peripheral part of the cleaning member 3 or/and a space part 4 formed by being surrounded by the cleaning member 3, and just by putting the roughly cylindrical base part 2 of the cleaning body 1 on the rotor (not shown in figure) or the like freely rotatably provided on an apparatus (not shown in figure), the rotary cleaning body (not shown in figure) for removing dust from the surface to be cleaned is easily assembled. Since the space part 4 secures the escaping place of the dust efficiently raked out from the recessed part of the surface to be cleaned by the brush-like cleaning member 3 and improves the bendability of the cleaning member 3, a dust rake-up performance and a dust removal performance are improved.
