The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting the obesity, comprising baicalin-zinc complex salt as an active ingredient, which inhibits lipogenesis and exhibits effects in degrading the generated fat, to a quasi-drug composition, to a food composition, and to a cosmetic composition. The baicalin-zinc complex salt of the present invention inhibits the lipogenesis at a level higher than baicalin or a Scutellaria baicalensis extract, which is conventionally known to have antidiabetic activities, and exhibits the activation of lipolysis. Therefore, the baicalin-zinc complex salt can be broadly used for developing an effective antidiabetic formulation. |
