When a crew operates an emergency information switch (19), a vehicle-mounted information terminal (10) establishes a speech line between a hand-free phone (18) and a telephone (26) in a center (20) so that the crew can converse with an operator. The terminal (10) also transmits information indicative of the current location of a vehicle to the center (20). Upon receiving the current location information, the center (20) issues acceptance information and displays it on a display (24) in association with the current location information. The acceptance information thus issued is transmitted to the terminal (10). The terminal (10) displays the acceptance information on a display (17). When the crew informs the displayed acceptance information to the operator by speech, the operator can associates the current speech with the current location of the vehicle extremely easily.
