PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece holding device which enables a user to quickly fix a workpiece when, for example, a curved end surface is polished or an end surface is formed into a curved surface.SOLUTION: A workpiece holding device 3 holds a workpiece to grind the workpiece W having an end surface that is a ground surface. The workpiece holding device has: a workpiece housing hole through which the workpiece may be inserted or taken out; a fixing material 51 for fixing the workpiece in the workpiece housing hole in an immovable manner; and an action member 52 which acts to fix the workpiece to the fixing material. The fixing material is formed so as to press the workpiece in a direction perpendicular to an insertion direction of the workpiece in response to action of the action member to push the workpiece against an inner wall of the workpiece housing hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
