Disclosed are compounds of general formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined herein. Further disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising N-[(4,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-3-pyridinyl)methyl]-3-methyl-1-[(1S)-1-methylpropyl]-6-[6-(1-piperazinyl)-3-pyridinyl]-1H-indole-4-carboxamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, for inhibiting the proliferation of and/or inducing apoptosis in cancer cells.
