PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linearity-compensating bleeder circuit which provides linearity to response of a photoelectron multiplier throughout a wide range using an inexpensive and simple configuration, and to provide a radiation detector which offers easy adjustment and enhanced detection accuracy.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a linearity-compensating bleeder circuit 30 to be connected to a photoelectron multiplier tube 20 having a cathode K which emits photoelectrons in accordance with intensity of scintillation light, an electron multiplier section DY which multiplies secondary electrons using a plurality of dynodes DY[1], ..., DY[i], ..., DY[n], and an anode P which collects the multiplied secondary electrons. The bleeder circuit 30 outputs a voltage pulse, for low radiation dose rate input, representing an output amplified by the first through n-th stage dynodes from a voltage pulse output terminal Vout, and outputs current, for high radiation dosage rate input, representing an output amplified by the first through i-th stage dynodes from a current output terminal Aout. Also disclosed is a radiation detector 1 having the linearity-compensating bleeder circuit 30. |
