PROCESS FOR PREPARING NANO COMPOSITES MEMBRANES USING POLY(ACRYLONITRILE)

PURPOSE: A process for producing nano composites membranes using poly(acrylonitrile) is provided, which is characterized in that after a porous support that is fabricated by using poly(acrylonitrile) is modified with NaOH to endow -COOH radical, the surface-modified porous support is interfacial-polymerized with piperazine or acyl chloride, thus when introducing polyamide onto the porous support, ionic bond is formed between polyamide layer and the porous support. CONSTITUTION: The preparation process of nano composites membranes includes the steps of fabrication of porous support by using poly(acrylonitrile); modification of the porous support with 0.1-2M NaOH for 0.5-3 hours to endow -COOH to the surface of porous support; interfacial polymerization of the surface-modified porous support with piperazine or acyl chloride in the presence of catalyst(trimethyl amine); and introduction of polyamide layer onto the porous support. Above acyl chloride is selected from trimesoyl chloride, terephthaloyl chloride and isophthaloyl chloride.
