<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvement in the reduction of a running cost or the like by continuously performing image forming even in the case exhaustion of toner arises in the middle of color image forming. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus which forms the image on paper on the basis of printing data is provided with multiple colors of colorants which are to be stuck on the paper and a controlling means by which printing is continuously performed as monochromatic printing by selecting one colorant among multiple colors of the colorants excluding a colorant running short in the case that the colorant runs short during printing using at least the one colorant among the multiple colors of the colorants. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
