PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device that can be added to a portable terminal by adding a slight component without inviting the largeness of the portable terminal, a portable terminal provided with the pointing device, and a strap for a portable terminal to be used for them. SOLUTION: A representative configuration of the pointing device 130 includes a plurality of magnetic sensors 134 that are distributedly arranged, and a point information generating part 138 for generating the position information or movement information of a magnetic source in accordance with outputs of the plurality of magnetic sensors 134.
