Provided are a colour film substrate and a liquid crystal display panel, and the two are both provided with a colour film layer (11) comprising a plurality of red, green and blue filters (R, G, B) which are arranged in a matrix and a variable-colour filter (C), wherein the variable-colour filter (C) is provided, respectively on two sides, with a first transparent electrode (41) and a second transparent electrode (42) which are electrically connected thereto, and the material of the variable-colour filter (C) is an electrochromic material. By means of the first transparent electrode (41) and the second transparent electrode (42) loading a voltage signal to the variable-colour filter (C), the colour change of the variable-colour filter (C) can be controlled, thereby conveniently realizing high brightness and high colour saturation display: when the variable-colour filter (C) is transparent, the permeability rate is high, and the requirement for high brightness display is satisfied; and when the variable-colour filter (C) is a certain colour, apart from red, green and blue, for example cyan, four-colour display is realized, the colour expression capability of the panel is improved, and the requirement for high colour saturation display is satisfied. |
