<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric converter manufacturable inexpensively and having high performance and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric converter is configured in such a way that many one conductivity type crystal semiconductor particles 2 are formed on one principal surface of a conductive substrate 1, the lower part of the particle is joined with the conductive substrate 1, further an insulating substance 3 is intervened between adjacent particles thereof with a lower part of the particle being exposed from the insulating substance 3, and furthermore an other conductivity type semiconductor 4 and a transparent conductor layer 5 are provided on these crystal semiconductor particles 2. In the photoelectric converter, the insulating substance 3 is intervened in a thin film as an intermediate part between side surfaces of the adjacent crystal semiconductor particles 2. Light incident between the side surfaces of the crystal semiconductor particles 2 is refracted by the insulating substance 3 to irradiate the side of the crystal semiconductor particle 2 with a large incident angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
