<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a white birch (Betula platyphylla) extract composition stably exhibit excellent functions or characteristics of the white birch extract composition and to provide the white birch extract composition having excellent various performances or functions as a cosmetic comprising the white birch formulated therein. <P>SOLUTION: The white birch extract composition is extracted from the white birch. In the composition, a tyrosinase inhibitory activity, a melanin synthesis inhibitory activity, an SOD-like (superoxide dismutase-like) activity, an OH radical scavenging ability activity, a hyaluronidase inhibitory activity and a collagenase inhibitory activity satisfy specific conditions, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
