<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems that it takes long time to perform OPC (optimum power control) and a place where the OPC is executed differs from a place where recording is actually performed. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk having multiple recording layers, a recording condition which is obtained by executing the OPC in all the recording layers is recorded in the disk. Then, when the OPC becomes necessary in the disk from the next time onward, the OPC is newly executed at least in one or more layers. The recording condition which is obtained by executing the OPC anew and information on the past recording conditions recorded to the disk are used to calculate a recording laser power in a layer where the OPC is not executed anew. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
