PURPOSE: An indoor unit for a separate type airconditioner is provided to make the process simpler with reduced production cost. CONSTITUTION: The indoor unit of a separate type airconditioner equipped with a diffuser at the top of the panel in the front of the cabinet comprises; a cabinet(10) of which upper area is partially opened; a frame(20-1) inserted in the opening of the cabinet(10); many alterable vanes(20) inserted in the frame(20-1); a work device connected with the alterable vanes(20); a switch device to drive the work device selectively depending upon the power supply. Additionally the second, fourth switches controlling the feeding of the reverse voltage are also included.
