<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle counting system capable of exactly grasping the utilization conditions of a parking space by exactly counting the number of vehicles passing the entrance/exit of a parking lot or internal communicating passage. SOLUTION: Concerning a vehicle counting system S for counting various vehicles passing the entrance/exit passage of the parking lot, this system is provided with a user detecting means 10 for detecting a user H, who passes the passage W, while discriminating the user as an entering person or leaving person, a car type identifying means 30 for identifying the car type of a vehicle V passing the passage W, and a utilizing vehicle number calculating means 51 for counting the number of utilizing vehicles by car types on the basis of entries from the user detecting means 10 and the car type identifying means 30.</p> |
