PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having improved dispersibility of a release agent which constitutes the toner and having good chargeability and fixability. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the toner using a plurality of binder resins used for forming an image by developing an electrostatic latent image, a kneaded resin is prepared by first melt kneading of an amorphous polyester and a block polyester obtained by copolymerizing amorphous blocks which constitute the amorphous polyester and a crystalline block component and having a higher softening point than the amorphous polyester, and a release agent having a lower melting point or softening point than the binder resins is added to the kneaded resin and kneaded in a second kneading step at a lower temperature than a temperature in the first melt kneading.
