PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous traveling body that reliably detects a level difference of a floor surface and is prevented from falling to the level difference.SOLUTION: A robot 1 is provided with: an infrared ray sensor 24 for measuring a recess of a floor surface by a noncontact method; and a suction head unit 20 and a head descent detection sensor 14 that are brought into contact with the floor surface to detect the recess after the infrared ray sensor 24 has measured the recess of the floor surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
