PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem, in a construction where a link having four joints is extended or shrunk, that complication in its construction cannot be avoided and it has a risk that clothes are entangled between the links.SOLUTION: A ratchet 56b is formed on a sector gear 56 rotated along with rotation of an ottoman frame and a ratchet 58b meshing with the ratchet of the sector gear is formed on a lock gear 58. The ratchets on the sector gear and the lock gear prevent rotation of the sector gear in the direction to which the ottoman frame is pushed and allows rotation of the sector gear in the direction to which the ottoman frame is raised. The ratchet on the sector gear is formed longer than the ratchet on the lock gear and a part of the ratchet on the sector gear meshes with the ratchet on the lock gear. Therefore, if the ratchet part on the sector gear meshing with the ratchet on the lock gear is changed, a holding position of an ottoman would be adjusted and continuously set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
