WAVEGUIDE MEMBER AND KEYPAD ASSEMBLY USING THIS WAVEGUIDE MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keypad assembly including a waveguide passage for minimizing leakage and a loss of the light coupled inside the waveguide passage.

SOLUTION: This invention provides a waveguide member including the waveguide passage for guiding the light propagated inside, and at least one groove vertically formed in the waveguide direction of the light coupled inside the waveguide passage and reflecting the light guided by the waveguide passage to the waveguide passage; and also provides the keypad assembly including a keypad having at least one key button and an elastic sheet for fixing the key button, the waveguide member positioned under the keypad and having the waveguide passage for guiding the light propagated inside and at least one groove for reflecting the light guided by the waveguide passage to the waveguide passage, and a switch pad positioned under the waveguide member and forming an electric contact by pushing the key button.
