PURPOSE: A deposit type cathode of CRT and manufacturing method thereof is provided to simply form a bending part or porous part, to reduce costs by the structure having larger surface area than prior art, to enhance current density, and to greatly reduce the operation temperature. CONSTITUTION: The present invention discloses a deposit type cathode of CRT comprising a pallet(12) which bends are formed in its surface by melting molybdenum contained in its surface. And, the present invention discloses the manufacturing method of the deposit type cathode comprising: a step inputting tungsten powder on a lower punch(P2), inputting molybdenum powder on it, and pressing both; and a step depositing the pressed pallet(12) into solution consisted of acetic acid, lactic acid and pure water(1:3:2) to melting the molybdenum.
