The present invention provides a method and apparatus for determining the efficiency of a channel quality indicator (CQI). The method comprises: determining an initial rank indicator (RI); determining efficiencies of channel quality indicators (CQIs) corresponding to the initial RI and one or more preset RIs adjacent to the initial RI; determining the increase direction of the efficiencies of the CQIs according to the determined efficiencies of the CQIs; and determining a maximum value of the efficiencies of the CQIs in the determined increase direction of the efficiencies of the CQIs. By means of the present invention, the problem that a method for determining the efficiency of a CQI with a maximum value is complex in the related art is solved, and accordingly, the effect of reducing the complexity of the method for determining the efficiency of the CQI with the maximum value is achieved. |
