PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally-friendly foam fire extinguishing agent that can satisfy sewage discharge criteria.SOLUTION: Provided is an environmentally-friendly foam fire extinguishing agent characterized by containing, as an active ingredient, a hydrocarbon-based anionic surfactant and a hydrocarbon-based ampholytic surfactant and a thickener, and in which, more preferably, characterized, said hydrocarbon-based anionic surfactant is alpha olefin sulfonic acid salt represented by a general formula: RCH=CH(CH)SOZ (R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms, n represents 0 to 5, and Z is an alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal), and said hydrocarbon-based ampholytic surfactant is lauryl dimethyl aminoacetic acid betaine represented by a general formula: RNCH(CH)CHCOO(R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 8 to 30 carbon atoms), and said thickener comprises xanthan gum. |
