PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material capable of manufacturing light-emitting elements that is superior in heat resistance, to provide a composite material, capable of manufacturing durable light-emitting elements driven stably for extended periods, and to provide a composite material, capable of manufacturing light-emitting elements of low power consumption where shorting between electrodes of the light-emitting element is easily prevented. SOLUTION: The composite material comprises metal oxide frame, having metal atom and organic compound bonded by forming chelate at the metal atom, and the metal oxide shows electron acceptability for the organic compound.
