PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To leak no laser beam in the term of stopping the output of a laser apparatus by a Q-switch and stop completely the output of the laser apparatus. SOLUTION: The laser apparatus is the one having the laser oscillator wherein the exciting light emitted from a laser diode 23 is so converted into a laser beam as to perform the output control of the laser beam by using a Q-switch 5. The laser apparatus has a current setting portion 24 for outputting a set current Is based on user data, and has an LD driver 25 for feeding a driving current Id to the laser diode 23 based on the set current Is. Further, the LD driver 25 so changes the driving current Id that it increases obliquely when increasing the set current Is, and that it increases gradually in a transitional term longer than the one generated when decreasing it.
