A composition of a heating plate for use with a hair tong (or hair iron) is provided to prevent hair damages by generating anions and far-infrared rays, to minimize destruction of keratin during curling or straightening hair, and to ensure a long lifespan of the heating plate. The heating plate composition is prepared by mixing 50-80wt% of silicon dioxide, 0.5-3wt% of magnesium oxide, 0.01-1wt% of iron oxide, 0.5-3wt% of sodium oxide, 0.5-3wt% of calcium oxide, 1-5wt% of calcium oxide, 15-40wt% of aluminum oxide, 0.01-1wt% of zirconium oxide, and 0.01-1wt% of titanium oxide. The composition is subjected to injection molding, heating at 800deg.C for 1 hour, and reheating at 1600deg.C for 2 hours. Afterwards, the resultant plate is cooled and polished to produce a heating plate excellent in crack resistance.
